At this point in time, we do not have any information from the Israeli authorities as to when flights will resume, nor how flights will be rescheduled for participants stranded in Israel.

Please CONTACT YOUR TRIP ORGANIZER ASAP as alternate arrangements are being arranged by them.

Also, you may type your flight information below, and we will email you your ticket number. Once you receive it, please contact the airline directly, or check their website for information on rescheduling. Depending on which airline you are with, you may have already received an email from them with instructions.

Note that information on the airline website about REFUNDS or VOUCHERS is NOT APPLICABLE to your Birthright ticket. You did not pay for the ticket. It was a free (or subsidized) ticket as a gift from Birthright. You only paid a CHANGE fee for your extension. The airline website is addressing direct paying passengers, NOT Birthright participants. There is NO refund or voucher in your case. But if you still need a return flight (if you’re not returning with the above mentioned Trip Organizer arrangements, then the airline will find you an alternate flight in the future).

If your flight is at a later date that has not (yet) been cancelled, you must wait to see if the flight will still travel as scheduled. Follow public news about airline updates and check your flight on the airline website to see if there has been any change.

There is NO WAY to change the date of your flight at this time or move you back to your group flight.

However, you may CONTACT YOUR TRIP ORGANIZER as alternate arrangements may be offered by them if you want to leave earlier than your extended booking. If you choose to do this, note that no refund will be given for your paid extension flight since you are choosing to return early and not use that flight.

If you had submitted an extension request that was never fulfilled, then note that you were NOT CHARGED. If you see any charge on your card, please look carefully- that was only a TEMPORARY pre-authorization that was voided already. (Sometimes it takes a couple of weeks to fall off of your account, you can call you bank and ask them if you still see it there).

As you read and accepted on the terms and conditions, when requesting your extension, the extension fee is NON-refundable in the case of Force Majeure (such as wars and acts of terrorism). However, the airline IS required to provide you with an alternate means of returning home. In your case, since you have chosen to return by alternate means, and are fortunately safely home 🤗, there is nothing further they are obligated to do.

Nevertheless, we have been working intensively with the airlines to secure a refund for the many participants in the same situation as you are in. Please submit your information below and we will notify you soon when the refund is processed.

CANCELLATION OF EXTENSION AND REFUND REQUEST

When booking your extension request, we collect the funds on your behalf and transfer them to your airline

Due to the exceptional and tragic circumstances of the ongoing war, standard airline policies regarding cancellations, refunds, and rebooking do not necessarily apply. Wars are typically considered force majeure events, which limit the usual protections for affected passengers.

As part of your original application, you acknowledged and accepted that in such cases, extension payments are non-refundable.

Nevertheless, we understand the financial challenge this may present for you, and are doing all we can to secure as much refund from the airlines as possible.

Please note: A full refund is not guaranteed. The situation remains fluid, with many uncertainties and ongoing ambiguity as circumstances continue to develop.

At this time, if your extension involved a higher rate fare offer from the airline we are able to provide a partial refund, equal to the total paid minus $90 that covers minimal service, banking, and administrative costs.
